Recording an episode of MGP with two of my children

A week ago, my daughter decided she was finally ready to record an episode of the Mourning Glory Podcast with me. Back in September, our family said goodbye to our beloved dog, Max, and right after he passed, she said she wanted to record an episode about him. I asked her several times not long after he passed but she would say "not today" every time. I was quite suprised when she brought it up last week. I was even more surprised when one of her brothers asked to record with us and she said yes. Although I was quite taken aback and ill-prepared to record, I went with it and we went down together to my recording space and recorded the episode.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I hit the record button but my two children impressed me beyond words as they shared about the many thoughts and feelings they experienced when it happened and how they feel now. They both shared from their hearts and talked about how they were happy that Max wasn't suffering anymore. They both even said a prayer for him.

As each of my children grow physically and mentally, I am truly amazed at how they are also growing spiritually. Their faith is a beautiful part of them that I hope to continue see grow for many years to come.

God bless!
